From 8th-12th June 2008, 48 of the top fashion universities descended on Earls Court 2 this year's Graduate Fashion Week, with Bath Spa University exhibiting for a second year showcasing 14 students.

The event is aimed at the fashion industry and attracts employers, stylists, photographers as well as national and international press and 'celebrity' visitors including Zandra Rhodes, Julien Macdonald, Claudia Schiffer, Caryn Franklin, Pixie Geldof and Gareth Pugh. Fashion stylist and TV presenter Gok Wan visited the stand and looked at each student's work, commenting on the extremely high standard of quality. Henry Holland and Agnes Deyn also visited the stand along with Oswald Boateng.

Industry representatives from Nicole Farhi, French Connection, Warehouse and New Look all visited the Bath Spa stand and five students were given very realistic mock interviews by the River Island team in preparation for interviews with Mulberry.

Bath Spa University were nominated for the Daziel and Pow Stand Design Award but were pipped to the post by Northumberland University whilst Jo Brown and Jo Barnfield were nominated for the Jon Adam Fashion Portfolio Award.

Contacts were made with new and existing brands resulting in Aimee Leeds working as a designer for a brand called Charli, Karoline Aye is working on a long term placement at Mulberry and Liz Endacott is on a long term placement with Tonia Bastyan Designs. Various students have had their work featured on fashion blogs and websites.
