Artswork is a creative interface between Bath Spa University and the wider world of work, particularly – but by no means exclusively – with the creative industries. The opportunities for students to benefit from employer engagement and the further opportunities for businesses to benefit from deeper relationships with education providers are greater than ever before. Expertise exists across the University in a wide range of areas, with Artswork focusing primarily on the creative genres featured in each of the labs.
As a business, your motivations to work with Bath Spa University may be many and varied. You may wish to work with a student on placement in your organisation to work on a specific project over a specific time frame, or offer an extended secondment to one or more students on a wider range of opportunities. Alternatively, you may have a particular project or concept ripe for development which would be perfect for students at Bath Spa to develop as part of their course work over a longer period of time, either individually or in creative teams. Further possibilities exist from final year students running projects for you as project managers or researching and producing consultancy reports on your behalf right through to employers taking part in University-run events or talking to students as a guest lecturer.
