Staff from Bath Spa University will be making their mark at two major conferences in Sydney and London over the next five days.

Mimi Thebo, Senior Teaching Fellow, for the BroadcastLab is presenting on Thursday 5 July at Renewals: Refiguring University English in the 21st Century, the second English Subject Centre international conference at Royal Holloway, University of London. Her paper “Training Creative Entrepreneurs within the Creative Writing Curriculum” examines how creative writing can renew in response to the employability agenda, focussing on the third year Creative Enterprise module run through Artswork.

Steve May, Head of Creative Studies, presents a paper on Wednesday 4 July at the ISSOTL (International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning) 2007 Conference in Sydney, Australia entitled: “A method of researching student expectations, attitudes and perspectives, in order to inform course aims, curriculum and teaching methods” and uses the recent Artswork Learning in the Arts Student Questionnaire (LASQ) data from first-year students to support and provide a context for his research.
