Liquid Soap Launch

Added on 30 Apr 2009

Bath Spa Live in association with Artswork Media held the Liquid Soap launch on 29th April at the Moreton canteen. Set entirely in the toilets of the university café, Liquid Soap will reveal the hilarious world of gripping micro-dramas that are played out daily in this most intimate of locations.
A live feed from the toilets screened in the cafeteria for the audience. Chris Jury, producer and director of Eastenders and Nic Jeune, Creative Director for Touch Films and director of Artswork Media hosted the event and starred in the first episode. They plan to continue making 5 minute short episodes with writers, crew and cast made up entirely from the students and the staff at Bath Spa continuing potentially for the next five years.
The first episode was a hilarious mix of a launch report from two reporters and random events happening in the loos at the time of the ‘report’. Nic and Chris played the vital parts of those being interviewed discovering a disease isolation area in the men’s toilets and a woman in labour in the ladies’. Hell broke loose as old girlfriends materialise to shout at Nic and generally the result was a scene of chaos and all round giggles.

The continuing episodes will be filmed on set in the University Theatre and streamed live through the internet.
