The word graft is defined in the dictionary as british slang meaning work/labour.

In all past economic downturns whilst it can be hard and tough, good things start to happen through genuine entrepreneurial spirit.

Work/passion/pleasure/personal/aspirations connect all the lectures together somehow.

Even though all are very different in approach, they have a vitality and commitment to the subject of visual communication and offer very personal view through their work, this it what is fantastic about the industry the students will be entering, there is no right way.

When students leave here it is the beginning not the end.

The series of lectures discussed the notion of how you get work and why you make work and how to achieve a balance of work/pleasure within the principles of making a living.
