One of two Launchpad award winners, Nice as Pie Dance Theatre strive to create aesthetically stimulating and physically demanding audience interactive performance. This is achieved through the incorporation of multi-sensory environments.
The company feel it is important to produce culturally relevant and thought-provoking work, whilst at the same time facilitating the audience with alternative experiences of dance theatre. We believe that the audience should have a very active role within the work we create, at times affecting the happenings and having to make choices.
Our vision is to awaken the audience to our unique approach to dance theatre, breaking the barrier between performer and audience member, allowing them to exist together. It is the intention of ‘Nice as Pie’ to further our knowledge and understanding of audience participation in order to expand upon our ever developing multisensory approach.
